My best ideas are born while sweating

Strange title you say? Let me explain. Most of the great ideas I have had during the last half decade have been born while I was exercising. In my opinion, there is no greater incubator for ideas than getting outside and running/walking/riding your bike. This gets me away from all distractions in my environment and allows my mind to focus completely on the issue at hand. I find that it helps to stay in quiet neighborhoods rather than along busy streets. I also never bring music on a run. To me this is wasting the time that I have to think (Also its dangerous, you can’t hear vehicles or people around you). If I need to spend some time brainstorming or working through a problem, I will often go for a slow run. Slowing down allows me to focus on my thoughts and not trying to keep a specific pace. According to those who know, exercise improves oxygen flow to the brain which equals increased thinking power. Forget the brainstorming session in the conference room, go for a run.
